The Candidates

Ryan Davis

Website

Ryan Davis currently serves as a Court Commissioner for the Sacramento County Superior Court, where he presides over family law cases involving divorce, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, and domestic violence.

Before joining the bench, I worked as a Deputy Attorney General with California’s Department of Justice and as a public defender at the county, state, and federal levels, gaining deep experience in civil and criminal law.

I believe judges all should listen carefully, treat everyone with respect, and make decisions grounded in compassion, integrity, and fairness.

Diane Ortiz

Website

Diane made a decision at a young age to follow the family business and devote her life to protecting people. She began that journey at the California Highway Patrol academy, before an injury forced her to change plans. She instead worked for nine years in administrative positions with the CHP, including in the cadet hiring unit, internal affairs, and the legislative office.

While working at the CHP, Diane attended law school, earning her J.D. from Lincoln Law School and eventually becoming a Deputy District Attorney in Yolo County.

As a prosecutor, Diane has maintained an absolute commitment to protecting the vulnerable and delivering justice to victims.
