LWVYC is partnering with staff at Woodland Community College and Indivisible Yolo to present a student-focused Democracy Engagement Event on February 17, 2026, 5:00-8:00 pm.
Community College and local High School Students are invited to this free “Pizza and Movie” event to be held on the WCC campus, in Building 800, Community Room. Participants can sign up to attend online using the flyer QR code or by going to the sign-up page: Democracy Movie Night at Woodland Community College · Indivisible Yolo

League and Indivisible Yolo member volunteers will enjoy the 90-minute documentary film ” The Deciders”, highlighting the importance of active civic engagement in representative democracy. Post-film brainstorming, led by our League members and IY Community activists, will be focused on inspiring active democracy, voter registration and election participation.
Are you a Voter Service democracy defender? LWVYC Voter Services invites you to join our volunteer team of discussion leaders to explore the importance of issue advocacy and teach new voters to register and gain familiarity with the 2026 Election access ballot education resources.
All interested League volunteers should contact Judy Higgerson at vo**********@*****lo.org to sign up by February 7th to participate. Space is limited, so please sign up early.
