Educating on Local Issues
Review existing LWVYC positions for relevance.
The League of Women Voters takes action on an issue (e.g., Healthcare, Housing, Climate) only when we have developed a position addressing that particular issue. League members study a position thoroughly and come to a consensus on an issue in order to form a position.
Right now, many of our official, local positions are out of date or don’t apply to the entire county. Part of our program this fiscal year is to correct that.
- We have formed an ad-hoc committee to address this, and they have begun work as of November 2025.
Complete and begin advocacy for our Mental Health position.

- The Healthcare Committee meets twice a month, and the public is welcome.
