California League Partners to Support Statewide and Local No Kings Protests

No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings. Saturday, October 18, 2025

Many turned out to represent the League’s commitment to defend constitutional voter protections and support the legislative oversight that strengthens representative democracy.

Our voter education table at the “NO KINGS” event attracted more inquiries for voter materials: Easy Voter Guides, voter registration online tools and Yolo County Elections Office ballot return information than many of our tabling events earlier this year.

Several community members inquired about League membership and our advocacy materials. It was inspiring to see the number of folks wanting to learn more about the League and our mission to Empower Voters and Defend Democracy.

As we have always noted, while LWV does not endorse or oppose any candidate or political party, we have the right to hold our elected officials accountable and doing so is not a partisan act.

Please Note: A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
