The public is welcome!
Come hear from League board members and Yolo County Elections Officials about the Yolo County June Primary Elections. Discussion will include
- growing election participation through our voter education outreach,
- preventing voter intimidation,
- and protecting election worker safety and security.
Registrar of Voters Jesse Salinas will be on hand to answer questions about voter intimidation and poll worker safety.
Following brief member business updates, our Voter Services Committee will review
- our voter registration and election online tools,
- State League primary information,
- and Yolo County Election Office information for the June Primary.
Members wishing to staff League nonpartisan, voter registration and ballot education tables will learn how to provide quick and easy instruction to new and first-time voters. All League members and non-member visitors will see how the League’s accessible, online resources can help every voter, including family and friends, participate this June.
Strategies for countering voter intimidation and voter suppression will be shared. Provisions to ensure poll worker safety will be discussed.
Information on the voter suppression provisions of the federal SAVE Act will also be available. Members and non-members wishing to join the League in opposing the SAVE Act can get information at this meeting.
