Unite & Rise 8.5

An 8.5 million-strong initiative to fight the Constitutional Crises

The National LWV declared a constitutional crisis along with our intention to launch an 8.5 million-strong initiative, called Unite & Rise 8.5.

After careful monitoring and analysis, LWVUS has decided that now is the time to sound the alarm: our country is in a full-on constitutional crisis. The foundational principles that have sustained our democracy — checks and balances, the rule of law, free and fair elections — are under direct and sustained attack.

Stay tuned for more information on how you can help.

The League of Women Voters merges the larger Davis Area unit and Woodland chapter

In January 2025, the League of Women Voters of Yolo County combined two strong organizations to better serve Yolo. The strong desire by the members of the Leagues of Women Voters of Davis Area and Woodland to support all county residents led to this dedicated effort. We are thrilled to broaden our reach!
